The service we provide will efficiently plan your routes (to anywhere) and personalize it to your own needs; not only your comfort and safety, but also your social needs and physical wellbeing.

Taking advantage of AI and big data we have developed a service which groups 4 to 6 people, who have a (same) specific destination they need to go in the city, and creates the optimal route for an autonomous vehicle that picks them up and drops them off, ensuring their commute is as fast as possible.

It will not only be efficient time wise, but it will also utilize the time spent with productivity and (if you want) social interaction. Before the autonomous vehicle picks you up, you have a lot of choices to customize your route to your own needs. The options vary from a social-drive to a concentration- drive and from a networking-drive to an excise-drive.

So, it is not only efficient in bringing you to your destination in the most comfortable and quickest way, but also fulfills your (social) needs that can differ every day, depending on your mood. Because, let’s not forget:
We cannot escape our social nature, and we crave for a true connection with other humans!
Basted on the scenario, we came up with some concept ideas. Two ideas stood out to us and we thought these had a lot of potention.

The first concept is based on the idea that in 2050 car ownership will not be a thing anymore, and we have adapted to the use of public transport and shared-commutes as the only way to travel from place to place. A lot of people will still prefer personal commute over impersonal, and sometimes inefficient public transport. Taking advantage of AI and big data this service will allow small groups (of 4 to 6 people), which have a similar destination, to travel together by the use of autonomous vehicles. Efficiency and comfort are the two most important elements of this service-concept.

The second idea is based on the fact that in future society our contacts are less face to face and increasingly digital. Despite that, we still crave social interactions. In daily commutes lies an unused potential for social interaction. Everyday thousands of people travel together by train, but there is almost no social interaction between the travelers. With this service the aim is to change that and enable people to utilize their commuting time to connect with each other.

While these ideas are potentially good concepts on their own, they actually work really well together. By combining them, it makes for a great, comprehensive and outstanding service-concept, in which efficiency and social interaction are the core.
For now we are focusing on business people for our target group. This is the group of citizens that will be most interested in our service, because they to prefer personal-commute and that extra bit of luxury over public transport, and our service provides them with the opportunity to personalize their commute to their likings and needs. But of course the service can be used by anyone and our target group can be broadened in the future.
We don't want to make our service into an ‘app’ because we are not sure about the future of applications like such. The interface will contain the tickets you can choose out of, information about the service, and a way to choose a type of travel and a destination.
